THE VESSELS
Most of the vessels which we can book for you were launched around the beginning of the last century. After decades of service as cargo vessels, sailed and steered through many different tasks, they have since been converted into comfortable berths for travellers. We can offer you cabin motor vessels, three-master sailing ships, two-masters, one-masters and river vessels. Lengths vary from 16 metres to 50 metres. No matter what your occasion, all by yourself or in a group of up to 1,200 - you can make your arrangements with us. Your cabins are available in single, double and multiperson arrangements. Good sanitary facilities are also available on board. Showers and toilets are in outstanding condition. Every vessel has a saloon which can be used for parties, meals, games or simply relaxing. Seminars, conferences and meetings of all kinds are also possible, of course. The galleys are fully equipped with a gas range, and generally also with an oven. Refrigerators are generally large enough to hold most of your beverage supplies. Central heating (or the like) is present on all vessels, meaning that it is pleasantly warm on board even during the colder times of the year. All vessels have a 220 volt network. Bars and beer taps can be found on some vessels.
It goes without saying that you can take a look around on board the vessel with us before "heading out to sea" with us.

PLANNING AND ORGANISATION
Business
Whether you want to make an excursion, a presentation, incentive trips, customer relations marketing, teambuilding courses, conferences or seminars - with colleagues, business friends, your entire company or a single department: plan and organize it with us! With our experience, we offer you the opportunity to organize your own arrangement. We would also be happy to do all of the planning for you.
Imagine, for example, a regatta with a number of vessels and all of your business partners, staff and/or colleagues. After going on board and being greeted by our sailing crew, everyone leaves port together. Then comes the instruction provided by our highly-trained crew. You will notice how quickly your guests master the moves, knots and manoeuvres. Once all of the vessels and regatta sailors have gone about, gybed and manoeuvred enough, the starting gun goes off - hopefully you will be the first to sail across the start and finish lines. After, for example, and Olympic Course and the arrival of all of the vessels at the finish line, a professional catering team will offer tasty menus and delicacies; you can enjoy your food in the classical ambience on board. After this relaxed lunch, you can continue with other programmes planned and organized with us, holding conferences, discussions, negotiations or training courses with the aid of a team of professional trainers, either in the vessel's saloon or simply in the open air on deck. You can close, for example, with a final meeting with snacks and sailors' bitter liqueur. A dinner with your guests is naturally also an option. Finally, you disembark.
You are sure to benefit for a long time to come from an arrangement you plan with us. Your business partners, staff and colleagues will have pleasant memories. And this is only one example of what we have to offer. The planning of your trips and excursions is tailored to your individual needs and business conditions. Smaller arrangements can naturally also be booked.

Weddings and celebrations
How could the happiest day in life be even more happy? Here, too, we have the answer you need!
Imagine that the ceremonial part of your wedding has gone well, and it is now time to begin the festivities. Crossing the boarding plank can bring you into a world of luxurious, nautical ambience. Your guests would be astonished and at first speechless when they arrive on board. After an official champagne reception and congratulations from the skipper, the vessel casts off and we take you on a trip into the unknown. One thing is certain, however - everything has been taken care of. You have made the right choice in deciding to hand the preparations over to us - selection of the menu, the wine, the band, or even a bagpiper. The wedding cake also arrived without any complications. Now it is time for you to cut the cake.
While you and your guests eat, drink, laugh, dance, celebrate and perhaps even shed a tear of joy, the vessel sails into the sunset. Planned perfectly to suit your wishes, the day passes full of romance.
With a specially prepared dinner, which also takes into account any dietary requests, this day is indescribable and unforgettable. A band could provide accompaniment and dance music for your party. Late in the evening your vessel returns safely to port with you and your guests - and the moon lights the way to the wedding night.
This is one way to organize a wedding celebration that will be talked about for a long time to come. We can also offer you part-day excursions, for example for the reception after the marriage ceremony. All of your wishes will be realized creatively and individually. Our sailing vessels are a great environment for family get-togethers. To enjoy the atmosphere on board and the expanse of the sea for a weekend or a week together with your relatives, to visit charming port towns or museums, to relax on an island beach, or to organize an expedition on the Wattenmeer for the children, to feel and taste the elements, to relax in elegance and style, or to leave the daily grind far behind you with an active holiday.
For example, you can hold your annual family reunion on board, this time making a completely different, unforgettable trip with your loved ones. With our experience you can plan the schedule for a highly enjoyable get-together. Here, too, people will remember the trip you organized for a long time.

Friends and associations
Want to escape the daily grind?
A sailing tour with friends from your club, young and old, is hard to beat! You have time for each other, yet also remain active. Setting the sails together, pulling on the sheets and joining forces to tack or gybe. In short, to manoeuvre until you reach the destination. Or would you rather set a relaxed course to the next inlet? Do you put the helm up and sail close to the wind? Is that what you call a dead calm? Or is it blowing wind force six? Do you see seals on the sandbanks? Can't I sunbathe and do nothing, like them? Do we have to gybe again, or shall we lower the jib? We still have to pull on the jib sheet! Go about! Can someone put sunscreen on my back? Let go the anchor! Would you like coffee or tea? Shall we go to the pub later, or stay on board? Whose turn is it in the galley? Terschelling at three o'clock! All together! Can we sail at night, too? Hold on, can you see that wave? A good team, eh, skipper?
If this description seems to hectic for you, it can also be more peaceful if you wish. For you, does relaxing mean doing nothing? Anything is possible, and nothing is obligatory!
Each sailing trip is different. Each time you come home with new stories to tell. Even old salts always have new experiences.
Would you like to do the cooking yourself in the thoroughly-equipped galley, or indulge yourself with our catering service? Full board and half-board are possible. Beverages can also be supplied if needed.
We can also advise you about the length of your trip. A weekend, short week, seven days or even two weeks - we help you to make the right choice.

Holiday tours and nature trips
On all our various vessels you can book holiday trips of all types. You can choose a cruising area which is of interest to you, the season you like and the size of your vessel. We can advise you on all of this, and will make you good offers. You can talk with us at any time about any number of ideas for trips. We have offerings for every taste and many different hobbies. From the quiet natural surroundings of the Wattenmeer to the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam!
We also have interesting trip offers for you as an individual or a small group. We often receive enquiries for individual sailing trips. These trips are offered with full board. You will get to know new people and make new friends.

University and school trips
As an adventure, with the university, as a graduating class, or under way with your classmates!
Do something different for a change, like hundreds of other classes and courses before you, and go to sea with an old Dutch flat-bottomed boat. Food and catering
The quality of the catering is an important factor for you and your guests. With our service you can be sure that your meals will be provided by a professional team. During your time on board, your guests will be provided with ample catering put together in accordance with your wishes. We will send you information about the organization and suitable selection of food, beverages, etc., and their prices.
Sailing route
The routes of multi-day trips and daily destinations or one-day sailing tours cannot be planned in advance. We set destinations with you each day, based on the wind and weather. The course of the trip will be developed in accordance with your wishes, however. We discuss arrangements, destinations and all your requirements and opportunities with you on an individual basis.
Prices
We would be happy to give you information on special rates, attractive package deals, Last Minutes, scheduling considerations and special discounts. At present all prices are available only on request, but we will be happy to answer your inquiries by telephone or e-mail, with information provided daily.

All the bookings and arrangements are without catering service and without drinks. But everything can be arranged with our professional catering-teams.

For the drinks we serve we have similar prices than in normal bars and restaurants.

Safety
The vessels are inspected by the classification office "Register Holland" and are certified by the Netherlands Shipping Inspectorate, an internationally recognized body. All vessels have the statutory lifesaving and safety equipment. For safety reasons, we do not leave port at wind force seven and above.
Children on board
If you have children under twelve years of age in your group, we ask you to tell us the number of children, their weights and ages at least 14 days before arriving for your tour. We can then provide suitable children's life jackets.
Pets
Unfortunately, it is generally not permitted to take pets along. If you wish to do so, please let us know. We will then consult with the owners of the vessel.
Rules on board
On board every vessel you will find the rules issued by the shippers' federation, the BBZ. Please follow these rules carefully, and be conscious of the environment.
Terms of the agreement
Our agreements are subject to the general terms and conditions of the TCN foundation (Stichting Traditionele Chartervaart Nederland) and the BBZ (Belangenvereniging Beroeps Zeilschippers). A copy of these terms and conditions will be sent to you together with the rental agreement, and they are also available ahead of time on request.
What you should bring with you:
• warm clothing
• quilted blanket / sleeping bag (unless otherwise agreed and booked)
• towels / dishcloths
• non-slip shoes / rubber boots
• sunscreen and sunglasses
• food and supplies (unless otherwise agreed and booked,
also remember toilet paper, coffee and filter bags).
Included in the rental price: (within the Netherlands and unless otherwise specified)
• harbour, bridge and lock fees
• one hour under engine power per day
• value-added tax and tourist tax
• 2/3 crew members
Not included in the rental price:
• sailing trip insurance, consisting of storm insurance, trip insurance and trip cancellation insurance
