Description: Jericoacoara is the best spot to windsurf in Ceará, and maybe even Brazil. Fortaleza is already known as a place of strong winds due to the trade winds that arrive from the African continent, but Jericoacoara is exceptional. This is largely due to Jeri’s geographical location. While most of Ceará’s coastline runs SE to NW, Jeri’s coast runs E W, parallel to the equator and the direction of the trade winds wich smack Jeri full force since there are no natural obstacles in their path.
