Description: Welcome to Sabalito where the air is clear and the water is clean! This is a small Costa Rican town, two miles from Lake Arenal. Sabalito has spectacular views of the lake and the volcanoes Arenal and Tenorio. Arenal is an active volcano. It is about 20 miles (30km) away. In the daytime a plume is often visible and on a clear night you can see the red glow of lava running down the sides. We are surrounded by jungle with howler monkeys, toucans, hummingbirds and lots of other animals. The foreigners that live in Sabalito have interests in sports and healthy living. There is an active group of windsurfers, kiteboarders and mountain bikers. The town has two large yoga platforms. These pages inform about the area in the hope that people who are into an active, healthy or creative lifestyle will visit or move here.
