Description: Medemblik is historically the sailing centre of The Netherlands. Home of the SPA-Regatta, many European- and World championships in a variety of classes, but also for bigger boats like those participating in the 24-hour endurance yacht race. Because of the sheltered location, the historical town of Medemblik and the efforts of various sailing organisations, a number one position for racing in Holland was established.
