Description: Our reason for being, as our name implies, is the magnificent Atikonak River in the Labrador Interior. A river of contrasts, it boasts breath-taking gorges and cataracts, wide and peaceful stretches, and intimate secondary channels and rapids. The river, as well as huge Atikonak Lake, supports healthy populations of land-locked salmon (ouananiche), brook trout and lake trout, northern pike, and whitefish; stock is enhanced and assured by our fly-fishing only, catch and release policy.
