Description:
Both the long history of nautical activity and the presence of so many different maritime cultures make the Black Sea an ideal location for underwater archaeological research. A considerable amount of archaeological investigation has been conducted along the southern coast of Ukraine, revealing intensive settlement dating back more than three millennia.
