The Western Connecticut Ice Yacht and Social Club is made up of a very unique group of hardwater sailors from Bantam & Candlewood Lakes in western Connecticut. The club was founded before you were born, but did not start accepting members until 1990. |
Welcome to Swedish Ice Sailing Federation Swedish Icesailing Federation (SISF) is associated with Swedish Sports Confederation. SISF has two sections, Iceyachting and Skatesaling. Totally there are about 50 clubs in Sweden. |

Iceboating when it is at the very BEST. The Monotype-XV iceyacht is the only 2-seated iceyacht in Europe today that regulary arrange European Championship. Topspeed is 120-140 km/h and the iceyacht is very very nice to sail and compete with. The class is more or less active in the following countries: Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Finland, Sweden, Nederland, Germany, Poland, Hungary and Lithuania. |

The Snowfer is a patented sled for boardsailing on snow and ice, using a conventional windsurfing rig. The basic techniques are quite similar on water but considerably easier since the "tipping effect" is eliminated. Snowfering gives us a positive approach to winter, making it not just bearable but a welcome season. |
