Twist fasteners at bottom & around mast. Covers are designed to fit average sized rigs by boom length listed below. They are open in the back and tie off to the boom for versatility. We Design all our sails using computer aided design. These designs are then laser cut using high quality polyester or mylar sailcloth, the weight of which is determined according to the sails application. The Hardware is also chosen in order to meet our meticulous specifications |
CARVACUT nutzt gezielt die Dehnungseigenschaften dieser Materialien. Durch exakte Ausrichtung der Hauptfaserrichtung des Materials, wird in den vertikal parabelförmig verlaufenden Montagenähten der einzelnen Segelabschnitte (Panels) unterschiedliche Dehnungen abgebaut. Die Montagenähte übertragen die im Segel auftretenden parabelförmig verlaufenden Kräfte harmonisch von Kopf zu Hals bzw. Schothorn. Die Segel haben keinen Verzug an den Montagenähten bei hohen Lasten oder Laständerungen, die Festigkeit wird deutlich erhöht und das Segel hat ein konstant zugfestes Profil. |

As the Mack sons finished their college educations (Travis, Washington & Lee '90 and Colin, Dennison '94), each expressed a desire to join the company. Since they had literally grown up sailing and hanging out in the sail loft---it was a natural. Now they head up the day-to-day Mack Sails operations. Travis manages all the hands-on and computer sail design and cutting, while Colin leads the rigging and hardware department. Brad Mack? He can usually be found fixing a sewing machine. |
