Lauderdale Yacht Club. is located on beautiful Frederick Henry bay, 20 minutes south east of Hobart. We sail various catamarans, including Nacra, Windrush, Maricat, A-Class and Cobra's. During the mid-late 1960’s a number of sailing enthusiasts from the Geelong and Bellarine Peninsula area got together for the purpose of establishing a sailing club. As most of the people either camped in the Caravan Park at Indented Head, or had holiday houses in the area, it seemed appropriate for the club to be located at Indented Head. The Indented Head Boat Club was already in existence and it followed that a sailing section was established within the boat club. |
