Our club is fully dedicated to the sport of windsurfing. Based at a 40 acre gravel pit lake in Long Eaton Country Park between Nottingham and Derby we are within easy reach of the M1 & M42. If you live within a reasonable driving distance of Long Eaton and want somewhere you can windsurf throughout the year 7 days a week, whenever the wind is good, then join! For weekends, windy midweeks, summer evenings etc, our club is great value at only about a quid a week! |
Windsurfing is the most popular activity at RVSC. The reservoir is open 12 months of the year and offers all wind conditions from force 1 to 6. There is almost always someone on the water having a great time no matter what their skill level. Because of the exposed aspect at Clowbridge Reservoir, which is located over 700 feet above sea level; the location provides an excellent high wind venue. The reservoir measures over 400m wide and 600m long providing good reaches in all wind directions. |
